EVENT: Ream Shoreibah of CAIR-AL will join panelists Shima Dowla and Hala Zein-Sabatto of the University of Alabama at Birmingham in this event sponsored by the UAB Muslim Students' Association as part of Islam Awareness Week. EVENT: Birmingham Islamic Society will hold an open house at Hoover Crescent Islamic Center for non-Muslim community members. The event will include guided tours, short talks about topics of general interest, and a chance to attend a congregational prayer. EVENT: This panel-style discussion will be sponsored by the Birmingham Interfaith Human Rights Committee. The discussion will be led by activists and community members, including CAIR-AL's Ream Shoreibah. Panelists will explore the impacts of the ban on our community and US policy, and will discuss ways that the average citizen can become more involved in the political process.
